My Review:

Holy Hannah, what a book hangover! This novel made me laugh, it made me cry, I couldn’t put the darned thing down. This is by far my favourite novel yet from this oh so talented author.

In this novel we return to summer camp, one that I’d love to attend. No, one that I feel like I’ve attended. The scene is so well developed that I don’t just picture it, I walk through it. Cooper continues with her upbeat, approachable writing style that draws you into a world that she paints before you. Everything is vividly larger than life, creating a world unlike any other. The races and species that Cooper presents in this novel are quite well developed as well. Cooper ensures that we know what each is capable of and what is expected of them, all without breaking the flow of this remarkable story.

Cooper does a remarkable job at taking characters that we’ve met previously and showing her readers their true selves. The contrast between public image and real personality is shocking at times. Yet, at the same time, you can always see how one person could easily be or become the other. I really like how we get to know more about Sarah, her true nature, and why she acts how she does. It’s also intriguing to see the internal conflict running in Nick throughout. You finally find out why he acts as he does. The secondary characters returning from previous novels remain true to form, not changing or becoming someone entirely new. We do learn something new about almost all of them, even if they’ve had their own stories. The new characters introduced in this novel are also off the hook.

Cooper definitely went above and beyond with this novel. It’s a brilliant read for any who enjoy hard won love, adventure, and the paranormal. That said, I’d definitely suggest reading the other novels in this series first. Cooper brilliantly weaves these other stories in and out of this one, creating a novel that shows the interconnectedness of everything at this intriguing camp. I also can’t wait to see what comes next for these oh so memorable characters.

Cooper’s light hearted and free flowing writing style combine with her at times intense storyline to create a reading experience like no other.

Cooper gives her readers all of the necessary background information as part of the story, keeping her readers captivated throughout. She has such unique concepts that are worked into each and every aspect of this novel. I love how she melds worlds together to create a phenomenally unique whole. Her clear, drool worth descriptions draw you in like the set of a movie.

This novel has such cool characters that you can’t help but fall in love with them. Each is unique in their own right. Not only are they supernaturally gifted, but they’re also completely human in their personalities. It’s the perfect blend of everything to create a cast that you won’t want to let go of.

This was a phenomenal read. I couldn't put it down for a second and definitely cannot wait to read more about this amazingly well developed world. (I also want to move there, but that's a whole other kettle of fish).

My Review:

Cooper has yet again hit the ball out of the park. She brings together the story of a couple we have been hearing about on and off for a while now. By using the same eloquent yet flowing and light writing style that shines through all of her Sidhi stories and combining it with characters that we have seen on and off throughout the series she manages to tell a love story that will travel through the ages in a very short amount of time.

Rather than spending a great deal of time on character development, Cooper tells us what we need to know about the characters and spends most of her time on story development. Each and every action, reaction, and description helps to build the story towards its conclusion. Cooper ensures that she keeps her audience captivated while telling a story that will entertain and enthral them.

I love how all of Cooper’s Sidhi stories intertwine yet remain independent of one another. It’s a very unique way to write a series. Each couple keeps you captivated for a short while, never outstaying their welcome and always leaving you wanting more.

As always, Cooper delivers a captivating and thrilling story for her readers. It is very well written and well thought out. One cannot help but be drawn in through Coopers light, fluid, and informative writing style.

The characters captivate you from the get-go, being so well and thrillingly developed. You cannot help but feel for them in their plight. Cooper also brings bullying to the forefront in a very unique and unusual way.

I appreciate that Cooper can tell such a complete and captivating story within such a short span of pages. As a reader, you never feel that there is anything missing from the story itself, but like any good book, you’re very sorry to see it end.

My Review:

What a thrilling little love story. I am completely captivated by the concept of lifemate that Cooper has developed so well in this story. Through this concept she brings to life a very unique love story that is further backed up with amazing scenery and descriptions. Not only is this world brought to life in a strikingly vivid way, but the story itself is also very well written.

Not only is this world brought together in an amazing way, but the characters themselves are also stellar. Cooper has mastered the art of developing a character in a way uniquely suited to their role in her writing. She never wastes time or space giving details that are irrelevant to the novel. However, the characters are always phenomenally developed. You get to know each and every one of the major characters.

I always love reading Cooper’s work. Although this novella was short, it was fast paced and a complete story all on its own. She never sacrifices the quality of her writing for word count.

My Review:

I always love reading Cooper’s work. She works cultural differences, prejudices, misunderstandings, and inclusivity into her work without ever actually mentioning it. Through the magical supernatural world that she has created, Cooper very tactfully incorporates these touchy subjects into very captivating and exhilarating stories. Beloved LifeMate is no exception to this rule.

Copper employs brilliant, vivid descriptions to help build her world. Everything has a purpose and a place, helping this world come to life right before your eyes, regardless of the length of the story written. She also manages some very well developed characters. By devoting minimal time to the development of minor characters, just giving the attributes necessary for their function in the story, she is able to focus on the main characters, making them very well rounded and lifelike.

As always, Cooper keeps her writing light, entertaining, and completely captivating. I can’t wait to dive in to more of her writing!

My Review:

What a phenomenal follow-up to the first novel in the series. Picking up where the last novel left off, everyone was back with a vengeance and this installment was even faster paced than the original. 

Cooper’s writing and descriptions didn’t miss a beat in this novel. Everything remained seamless. Her storytelling draws you in further and further with each page. Descriptions and settings remain phenomenal in this sequel. I spent a great deal of time wishing that I could walk into the world that was so clearly laid out in my mind’s eye.

Character development continues in this segment of the series. You learn a great deal more about characters from the previous novel, getting to know them even better. You also meet some new characters that your heart cannot help but go out to. These characters are so real yet simultaneously surreal. However, I must say that I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many life altering misunderstandings in a single relationship. It had me torn between wanting and loathing life-mates.

At the end of the story I just had one big question. What’s next? I need to go on some more adventures with these guys.

She might actually enjoy summer camp, if she can stop finding dead bodies and if people stop trying to kill her.


My Review:

The premise behind this story is really neat, especially with respect to who rules the Supes. It takes the idea of the supernatural races not getting along and gives it a big shake. I’m absolutely loving the development of vampires in this novel. You see where they human myths come from but you also see the realism in the differences. The dragons in this novel are also quite unique. She also integrates the notion of cultural intermingling to great effect, drawing reality into fantasy. 

Cooper has an amazing way with words and storytelling. The world that she creates is so flawlessly realistic that you cannot help but want to visit it or to live there. She also changes perspective from character to character showing the differences between individuals and species or subspecies. It never once disrupts the progression of the story nor does it ever confuse the story. I don’t remember ever having seen an author use this technique to such amazing ends. 

The main characters in this novel were very engaging. You want to know them, even if they are a little hard-headed at times. While journeying with these characters you find yourself questioning people’s motives and actions, wondering which side they’re really on or who they really are. It adds to the mystery of the story, acting to draw you further and further into this world. One thing about the characters though... I definitely wouldn’t want to experience their version of puberty. Oh man. 

As a cohesive unit, this novel has it all. There’s lots of intrigue interspersed with a budding romance. Characters that you want to journey with. Absolutely amazing scenery. However, I must say that I definitely needed a chocolate fix by the end. J
