My Review:
This novel did have a bit of a slow start while we got to know the 2 main characters. That said, the main characters of this novel are well developed in both the past and the present. It’s much easier to identify with them knowing how and why they became the individuals that they are today. Summars creates a very detailed account of the intermingling of the lives of some very fully developed characters. Even the supporting cast fits into this. We may not learn quite as much about their pasts, but as a reader you get to know them as individuals who round out the lives of the main characters that you find yourself rooting for.
As a whole this was an intriguing novel that kept me on my toes throughout. It’s not a light, fluffy read, but rather one that brings reality to light in a unique way and really makes you think.

ReplyDeleteI would read and review, posting the review to GR, Amazon, B&N, my book review blogs, and link with Twitter. Then, I'd place the book on my "place of honor" shelf with my other signed books where it would be cherished forever. I'd also be sure to let my friends know I'd won. (Not that I'd gloat or anything...)

ReplyDeleteWhat would you like me to do? LOL 8) My kids say I do crazy things for books. I would leave a review when done of course, but would you like me to sing one for you here on Jonel's site as a Thank You. I would also sing Jonel's praises too as she is a great book blogger. But just a word of warning, I don't have a great voice, but I will try to make it rhyme ;)
