Synopsis from Goodreads:

Sometimes love has nothing to do with luck, and everything to do with karma. . .

Marcy Paget worked full time putting her husband through university. When he finally became a success, he dumped her for a trophy wife more than ten years younger than he was, leaving Marcy to raise their seven year old daughter by herself.

Even though Marcy knows she is better off alone than with a cheating husband who doesn't love her, she is still struggling to make ends meet.

When an ethical dilemma is presented to her however, she never realizes the karmic chain of events that will follow her decision....

My Review:

“Love isn’t like rocket science or brain surgery.” But taking that kind of all encompassing, no holds barred love and turning it into an intensely captivating novel author Nikki Sex has created a work that you won’t be able to put down. She also makes you wish you had it for yourself.

This novel is well written and keeps you enthralled throughout. This author is a very visual writer. Everything is detailed, yet naturally so. Her vividly visual descriptions paint this world before the eyes of her readers. The real life situations in this book are so easy to relate to. The author portrays them in a natural manner with real concerns and in a way that they’d happen to people. Not only did the author make me laugh, and make my pulse race, but she also brought tears to my eyes a time or two. This was such a beautiful story that you can’t help but feel while reading.

The psychology behind this novel is quite intriguing. It really draws you in through its solidity and the implications to life as a whole. It was a very unique aspect that was subtly added into the novel. It adds a completely other level to the story. Also, she uses Karma as subject matter for this novel without resorting to clichés or the paranormal. She brings to light the small actions and reactions that we don’t think about every day. It was very refreshing to see.

The characters in this novel are quite well developed. They are also developed in such a way that you can actually get to know them as individuals. You are brought into their family, rather than remaining a spectator. I love how the characters are as people. The female lead isn’t a Barbie-doll type, but rather is built like the rest of us and has the minor insecurities to match. The men aren’t all GQ perfect either. It’s quite nice to see. The dialogue in this novel is also brilliant. The male lead was also sheerly brilliant twist on the author’s part. I couldn’t help but laugh at some of the things said by the characters, even if it did make sense and fit perfectly. The sheer realism of the novel and the characters within catches you and lends itself to this.

This is the perfect novel for anyone who enjoys an earth shattering love story, with just a sneak peek into the world of BDSM.
