My Review:

This is a well written and intriguing novel. Pace’s writing enchants her readers, inviting them into this fantasy world. Her descriptions bring the world to life allowing readers to focus on the unique storyline that she has to tell. She melds the stereotypical elements of a fantasy tale together with her own unique brand of magic to create a very intriguing read, enjoyable for readers of all ages.

Pace’s character development is quite intriguing. She rarely flat out tells you about her characters, but rather allows you to learn about them via their thoughts and actions. Because you actually get to learn about and meet these character you become close to them, drawing you into the story. You also don’t always agree with or like all of them. The varied cast gives something for every type of reader to look forward to.

Overall this was a very enjoyable read that kept my imagination pumping.
