Back Cover Blurb:

Haunted by nightmares, tormented by guilt, Jezebel arrives at Redemption Ranch in an attempt to escape her past…except now she's stuck in the middle of nowhere with no redemption in sight. When her mother pushes her into riding lessons with local veterinarian Matthias Saunders, Jezebel balks. Sure, the doctor is gorgeous, but he's completely obnoxious, and knows how to push every single one of her buttons. Only her deep connection with The Reverend, a gentle stallion who guards her darkest secrets, has her agreeing to spend any more time with Dr. Saunders. Caring for the stallion is the first bright spot in her life in months, and if being around the horse means she has to face-off with the most frustrating person she’s ever met, then so be it. Surely a city girl like her can handle one country vet. Even one with disturbing blue eyes.

My Review:

You can’t go wrong with a novel by AJ Nuest, & this one is no exception. From tearful moments to heartfelt emotions and some belly rolling laughs this one has it all. The tale is emotionally poignant. It packed a real punch, pulling at my heart each moment. At the same time, Nuest’s vibrant writing shines through, bringing forward the seamless plot that felt so real that I experienced it alongside the characters.

Jezzy grabbed my attention from the get go with this one. Her past broke my heart while the individual that she is today was someone that I truly enjoyed getting to know. I love the mix of strong hero and emotionally attentive man in Matthias. He was the perfect mix to help Jezzy stand on her own again, while also being an unforgettable character all on his own.

This is a fantastic novel that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. But I will warn you, grab a box of tissues (or two) before you start. You’re gonna need them.
