An up-and-coming MMA fighter wants more than just one night from a woman fleeing her past in New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster's irresistible new novel

Heavyweight fighter Denver Lewis plays real nice, but he doesn't share. That's why he's been avoiding top-notch flirt Cherry Peyton. But a man can only resist those lush curves for so long. Their encounter surpasses all his fantasies, bringing out protective urges that Cherry's about to need more than she knows…

Denver's combination of pure muscle and unexpected tenderness has been driving Cherry wild. Yet no sooner does she get what she's been craving than old troubles show up on her doorstep. And this time, Cherry can't hide behind a carefree facade. Because the man by her side is one who'll fight like hell to keep her safe…if only she'll trust him enough to let him…

My Review:

As always, Foster’s writing is intensely addictive. I couldn’t put this one down and ended up reading through it in a single sitting. She writes unerringly hot scenes that will leave you breathless, followed by emotional moments that tug at your heart. Foster brings the world of MMA to life in a real & understandable manner while highlighting the humanity in her characters. Combine this with a suspenseful and realistic plot and you have a winning combination. Foster draws readers into her world, developing everything down to the smallest detail while keeping up with the fast paced and powerful punch of this complexly crafted tale.

It’s so easy to feel connected to these fantastic characters. Denver is the perfect balance of strong, Alpha fighter and soft-hearted, caring gentleman. This absolutely unforgettable hero is someone I’ll never forget. Cherry’s troubled yet emotional past, combined with her personal strength and buoyancy today to create the perfect counterpoint for Denver’s machismo. This couple was fantastic separately but explosively unforgettable together. The chemistry and real emotions between them were fantastic. Foster didn’t stop with these two when it comes to powerful characters. Some of the secondary characters really drew me in as well. I can’t wait until some get their own books, nor could I help reminiscing on past encounters with others.

This novel kept me gripped throughout. I still can’t stop thinking about the unending chemistry between the characters or the unforgettable plot of the story.
