Unexpected Gift by Delores Fossen

Tailed by a camera crew, Air Force Captain Gabe Brenner returns to Texas to deliver a Christmas message to his best friend's sister Kelly Coburn. But she's had her own delivery: beautiful baby Noel…Gabe's daughter.

Navy Joy by Geri Krotow

Chief Petty Officer Ian Cairne arrives stateside for Christmas with a four-legged friend: his late buddy's military service dog. Fortunately, the beautiful town vet Wendi Cooper is willing to take this odd couple into her home—and her heart.

My Review:

I was emotionally engaged by the 1st page of the 1st novella and it carried through the entire book. These three authors made me aught & cry. They made my heart swell with hope and happiness. Their legalistic looks at military homecomings really hit the mark for me. Each of the authors sketches a unique but no less vivid picture of the towns they vivid and the people we meet.

I loved getting to know the different characters in these novellas. Each author creates a completely unique couple for readers to fall in love with. The difficulties and realities that they face are contrasted with the joys that they share. At the same time, they spread the Christmas spirit and definitely get readers in the mood for the season.

These 3 Christmas stories combine together into the perfect dose of homecoming for the holidays.
