Synopsis from Goodreads:

A STAND ALONE NOVELLA LENGTH STORY

Charlotte works at the Agency, a place committed to stopping rogue paranormal beings from terrorizing members of the public.

Sebastian, a vampire, is the only paranormal working at the Agency and no-one but the Director knows why.

Charlotte should despise Sebastian, after all it was a vampire who murdered her family, but instead she finds herself drawn to him.

Sebastian is fascinated by Charlotte, the feisty young woman who equally wants and loathes him, and once he gets a taste of her he'll do anything to make her his.

My Review:

Crabtree definitely caught my attention with this fast paced novella. By using many preconceived notions towards vampires Crabtree was able to devote her time to the story at hand, rather than developing some new vampires. The story was quite unique and the author kept me on my toes throughout. The descriptions were vivid yet realistic, allowing you to place yourself directly into the world alongside the characters.

The characters themselves were quite well developed. Considering the novella length of the story I was surprised how well we get to know them. They`re also approachable, and the type of people you`d like to know in the real world. I found myself drawn to them, and therefore to the story itself. The supporting cast was quite unique as well. I appreciated how they displayed both sides of the fence in this story, sometimes even within the same character.

This is a great story if you`re looking for a quick, light read that will keep you entertained.
