This novel has it all: romance, suspense, paranormal, and a connection to its readers that will leave you in awe. This well written novel will capture your imagination. Twombly’s tone sets the feeling of the novel in a way like I’ve never seen before I could feel the darkness emanating from the novel. I could also see the light trying to peek through. There is an intensity to this novel that will leave you breathless.

I really enjoyed the fact that Twombly’s characters weren’t simply humans with supernatural abilities. They were more than human, without becoming unrecognizable. Twobmly’s character development allows the reader a glimpse into their souls without giving everything away. You get to know them without knowing everything about them. It was brilliant. I cannot believe how easy it was to form a connection with these characters. I feel like I’ve been to hell & back with them.

This was a great read. Twombly’s mix of mythology, demonology, and the paranormal, along with a twist of her own creates a uniquely unforgettable read.
