Let's welcome Kris Austen Radcliffe to Pure Jonel & learn a bit more about her!
A ~ I’m visual. My training is as a filmmaker and script writer. I’m also a photographer. It can be a problem sometimes because you can’t let imagery get in the way of deep POV, but I’m good at “showing.”
Q ~ So, is the writing life all sweet-smelling daisies and fluffy kittens?
A ~ Well, the kitten is fluffy and the daisies do smell sweet, but sometimes I get a backache from sitting on my writer’s behind typing out the scenes all day. ;)
Q ~ Does the art interest in “Thomas’s Muse” come from personal experience?
A ~ I’m a photographer and can barely draw a smiley face, but I do love me some fine art. The library fantasy, though, is totally made up. Totally. People get expelled for that kind of behavior. It’s a complete “Do not try this at home” maneuver. You know, like don’t jump off the garage roof just because you saw Superman do it.
About The author:
Kris lives in Minnesota with her husband, two daughters, Handsome Cat, and an entire menagerie of suburban wildlife bent on destroying her house. That battered-but-true copy of "Dragonriders"? She found it yesterday. It's time to pay a visit to the woodpeckers.
About Thomas's Muse:
Her life is black and white. But she needs food for her soul to feel alive.
She needs color. She needs art.
Everything changes the moment she meets Thomas Quidell. Brilliant and talented, Sammie quickly realizes Tom is her artist--and the man she's been fantasizing about all these years.
Tom offers her more than a lifeline. He opens her eyes to a new life. Vibrant, loving, fulfilling. But is she strong enough to take a chance?
