My Review:

This novel was intensely real. Every event was not only possible but extremely plausible. As a reader you get caught up in the suspense of the story while rooting for the budding romance. The entire story was written in a realistic yet completely captivating light. Her narrative in natural and fluid, simultaneously filling the reader in and keeping them guessing. Sefer’s descriptions paint a brilliant picture of this Greek isle, combining romanticism with reality to create a phenomenal whole.

The cast of characters in this novel was fantastically developed. Sefer uses a sliding scale of development for each character based on their role in the story. It adds for a very unique feel. I also appreciate how you get to know the male lead as the female lead does. The gradual character development adds an air of mystery to this brilliant alpha male. The female lead was the only real issue that I had with this story. I mean really... How stupid can you be? That said, I also loved her as a lead. She just made a few decisions that had me wanting to smash my head off the wall.

Suspense and intrigue definitely play a role in this intriguing tale with some very romantic vibes. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys the genre.
