My Review:

This is a story written by adults for adults. There’s no question about that what-so-ever. Hart has adopted an appealing and approachable flow for this story that allows the reader to focus on the content as each section flows into the next. She has also developed a very intricate background for the tale. The interplay between the culinary world and that of the bedroom ties the different aspects of the story together nicely and heightens your senses as a reader. Some parts of the story are so bloody ridiculous that you can’t help but realise that they’ve definitely happened to someone. It’s perfect. Everything in this tale is so vividly real.

The characters in this novel aren’t overly developed, yet they don’t really know each other either. It fits perfectly with the storyline. To be honest, excessive character development would have detracted from the story as a whole. It would have gone against the point of the story.

Overall, this was a catching, unique tale that let my imagination run wild. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
