Synopsis from Goodreads:

Book one in the Buckin' Bull Riders series. Professional bull rider Conner Raub hides a secret from the world. He's a Dom. When he meets a submissive on tour who pulls at his Dom tendencies, he fights to deny his true self, believing his colleagues will condemn his lifestyle. Jessica Talbot is new to the BDSM scene and the bull riding tour, but after seeing Conner come to the aid of a submissive being mistreated in a club, she sets out to have him for her own. After their first night together she asks him to train her to submit and he refuses, afraid to mix business with pleasure. But Jessica isn't deterred. She'll do whatever it takes to make him realize he can have it all-a career, true love and the BDSM lifestyle he craves.

My Review:

This was definitely a very entertaining read that keeps you ploughing forward to find out what happens next. Carr seamlessly combines multiple different ‘lives’ together to create one life that is completely satisfying for those living it. She blatantly shows both the difficulties and rewards of combining these different aspects together in such a way that it really draws you in. The fact that the main character must find a balance between the facts that what he wants/needs as part of his life is held as taboo by the bulk of society adds a heady mix in this already hot story.

I was very intrigued by both Carr’s characters and their approach to life. They all remained true to themselves and to their friends & families. I really appreciated the fact that the main characters were about more than just their relationship to one another. It’s a refreshing sight in this genre. Both the dialogue and the dialects used in this novel stay constant throughout. It really helps you put yourself in the place of the characters. It also lets you get to know them just that little bit more.

Carr combines a will they won’t they romance with some BDSM & a definite understanding of both the insides of a Dom/sub relationship & the world of rodeo to create a novel that you won’t be able to put down & that will stay on your mind well after you’ve reached the end.

As a closing remark, I must admit, however, that at the end, I was only left with one question...  Who designed the cover, because really, the guy looks creepy and doesn't live up to the amazing male lead that you find between the covers.
