My Review:

This was a very intriguing novel that I found myself getting into more and more as the pages past. Jacobs’ descriptions were amazing and showed you exactly what she was seeing.

You get to know the main characters very well in the here and now but really have very little idea of anything before the first page of the book. The author gives very little insights as to how they developed the quirks that they have, simply that they have them. That said, the main characters in this novel were priceless. They had me giggling and wanting to throw a pillow at them more than a time or two. I really appreciate that the Alpha male lead in this novel is neither an a#shat nor a super-secret agent. There is also an inherent geekyness worked into his tough guy persona that sets him apart from the rest. The supporting cast was also awesome. You get to know everyone quite well and want to know them more. Personally, I’d love to run into Charlie on the street…

For me, the difference between a 4 and a 5 star rating on this one lay in the relationship between the two main characters. I’m still trying to figure out how they ended up in their relationship with the amount of lying that they did to each other. It has me quite perplexed, but not nearly enough to detract from the novel as a whole.

Overall, this was an extremely enjoyable read that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone who wants a little romance and suspense in their lives.
