Synopsis from Goodreads:

Lost in the Seven Worlds is the debut work of Petronela Ungureanu, an avante-garde Romanian writer.

When a young woman finds herself captive in another world, she makes the mistake of falling for one of the disgraced beings. In the name of love, she is confronted with a most disturbing demand and faces a crucial decision. Will she remain lost in the Seven Worlds, or will she accept the challenge of a love beyond mortality?

My Review:

This was a very well written and intriguing short story. The approachable yet slightly formal 1st person narrative of the story draws you in and gives the reader perspective into the main character’s plight. Ungureanu works some amazing descriptions into this story that allow you to picture this world. She also doesn’t let her descriptions overpower the storyline that she’s developed. Ungureanu also kept her character development to a minimum. She put just enough description in to allow the reader to imagine the characters. It fit perfectly with this short story.

Overall, this was a quick and yummy story of forbidden love with more twists than I’d have ever expected. It was quite enjoyable.
