My Review:

Oh my goodness. What a brilliantly cute introduction to the Unbidden Magic series. Brothers pulls you further and further into the story in so many different ways and with so many different techniques that this story truly is magical.

This story is very well set up. It progresses in a logical fashion from beginning to end while keeping the reader completely captivated with the many different twists found in the story. Not only are there many different twists and turns in this novel, but they also come in many different shapes and sizes. They are found in the plot line, in the actions of the characters, and in the personalities of the characters themselves. Brothers also uses phenomenal descriptions to round out her plotline. They are very detailed without being longwinded or choppy. In adds to the fact that this novel is very well written.

I love how well you get to know the characters in this novel, while still leaving room for their personal growth in future installments. You get to know the main characters so well that they become real people rather than simply characters on a page. You see how they see themselves, who they want to be, and the person that the world sees them as. It was amazing how well Brothers captured this all on paper. She created characters that you don’t just read about, but rather identify with and fall in love with.

This story has some heartfelt moments, some edge of your seat moments, and some absolutely hilarious moments. As a reader, you still feel for the characters even when you are caught up in the mystery and intrigue of the plot. Brothers never sacrifices one for the other, but rather weaves them together brilliantly for a well rounded story and a phenomenal first installment in this series.
