My Review:
Once again Amsden has created an intricate story that brings forward many concepts introduced in the Cassie Scot series & the 1st spin off. At the same time, new readers will enjoy this novel as a one of a kind tale that presents the world of magic in a completely new light. The exquisite world building brings together a vast array of concepts in a manner that is a joy to read. Intrigue and danger rule the day as Amsden continues to create one of a kind scenarios that will keep you captive.
I really enjoyed the character centric view of this story. The emotional and epically life changing aspects of Kaitlin’s tale shine through as a dark and eerie feel falls over the entire world. I loved how the different characters all came together throughout. The different personalities, races, and families all shine in their own ways, creating a complex cast with someone for everyone to love.
As a whole this was a fantastic tale that will be loved by readers of all ages.
